Fred. Olsen Windcarrier (FOWIC) is looking for a motivated and safety-conscious 3rd Officer to join our experienced crew supporting offshore wind projects across Europe.

As 3rd Officer, you will be part of the bridge team on board one of our jack-up installation vessels, playing a key role in the safe and efficient navigation and operation of the vessel. You will also contribute to daily operations, safety routines, and administrative tasks under the supervision of senior officers. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior officer looking to gain experience in the offshore wind industry.
We are looking for an engaged and responsible seafarer who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow into more senior bridge roles. You thrive in a team environment and can perform calmly and effectively in a high-paced operational setting.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a navigation officer under the supervision of the Master and/or Officer of the Watch (OOW)
- Assist with voyage and passage planning, including updating electronic charts and nautical publications
- Monitor and maintain accurate navigational and watchkeeping logs
- Support onboard safety routines, including the Permit to Work system
- Assist with vessel administration and operational reporting as delegated by the Master
- Participate in safety drills and emergency preparedness activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable maritime safety and environmental regulations
- STCW II/1 Certificate of Competency -- Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch
- Previous seagoing experience as cadet or officer is an advantage
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- DP (Dynamic Positioning) certification is not required, but expected to be obtained before promotion to higher rank
- EU/EEA residency is required
