We are now looking for a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team of Product Developers.

As a Product Developer Engineer at Glamox, you will be responsible for developing professional luminaires from concept to production-ready solutions. You will be part of the R&D Department within our Professional Building Solutions (PBS) Division, collaborating closely with industrial designers, our in-house factories, laboratories, and lighting controls team.

Your responsibilities and tasks include:

Develop and refine mechanical designs for professional lighting products
Ensure alignment with Glamox strategy, sustainability goals and design principles
Collaborate across disciplines to balance user needs, cost targets, timelines, and technical feasibility.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, market trends and customer needs
Ensure seamless integration of mechanics, optics, electronics and control systems.
Build prototypes, test concepts, and support key technical decisions
Prepare technical documentation for tool specification and production handover

Your experience and qualifications may look like:

BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Electrical Engineering, or similar (Relevant experience may compensate for formal education)
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
Proficient in 3D CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, SolidEdge or similar)
Experience in technical 2D drafting, tolerance setting and PDM systems is an advantage
Cross-functional experience in mechanical-electrical development is a plus
Knowledge of materials and production methods (plastic, aluminum, etc.)
Fluent in English, both written and spoken --- proficiency in a Scandinavian language is a plus
