Seoul Søstre is expanding our team and looking for both an experienced full-time Chef and a versatile part-time Restaurant Assistant. We seek dedicated individuals passionate about food and customer service who will help delight our guests with authentic Korean cuisine.
1. Chef (Full-Time)Are you a skilled chef with a passion for Korean cuisine? Seoul Søstre is a popular Korean take-away restaurant in Stavanger, now looking for a dedicated full-time chef. With us, you’ll have the opportunity to work with authentic Korean recipes and provide our guests with amazing culinary experiences.
Responsibilities (Chef)- Prepare and cook Korean dishes according to our traditional recipes and quality standards.
- Plan menus and daily specials in collaboration with the head chef
- Oversee efficient kitchen operations during service, including food prep work and maintaining a clean, organized workstation
- Ensure strict adherence to all food hygiene procedures
- Guide and train kitchen assistants and part-time staff as needed to maintain smooth operations and consistent quality
- Contribute to a positive work environment and collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff
- Culinary certification or at least 3 years of solid, relevant experience in a professional kitchen
- Experience with Asian cuisine is a must. Korean cuisine experience is a big plus, but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures
- Must thrive in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment, especially in a take-away setting. Able to deliver quality even during peak rush periods
- Able to work evening and weekend
- Team player with a positive attitude and a strong focus on getting the job done
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage, but not mandatory
- Valid work permit in Norway if you’re from outside the EU/EEA
- Providing previous job references is necessary when applying for this position.

- Salary - Hourly (nok 205 - 220 pr. hour)
Do you enjoy customer service and helping out in the kitchen? We are looking for a reliable and versatile restaurant assistant to work part-time at Seoul Søstre. In this role you will assist the chef in the kitchen and serve customers at the register. You’ll be an important part of a small team, pitching in wherever needed to ensure our guests have a fantastic experience.
Responsibilities (Restaurant Assistant)- Greet customers, take their orders, operate the cash register, and handle payments accurately. You’ll make sure every customer is met with a smile and friendly service so they have a positive experience.
- Keep track of all the orders, and package finished dishes and drinks for take-away. Ensure orders are handed to customers correctly and promptly. Answer any questions about the menu and make recommendations if asked.
- Help in the kitchen and assist the chef with simple food preparation and cooking tasks, and prepare ingredients (chopping veggies, basic prep, etc.).
- Pitch in wherever needed in the daily operations – this include basic food prep, maintain clean customer area, or setting up and closing the restaurant.
- Help with dishwashing and cleaning of kitchen utensils, and keep the kitchen and counter area clean and tidy at all times.
- Experience in food service, retail, or kitchen work is a plus but not required – we will provide training. What matters most is that you are eager to learn, have an interest in food, and enjoy working with people.
- You are outgoing, friendly, and enjoy interacting with customers. Providing good customer service comes naturally to you, and you keep a positive attitude even when it’s busy.
- We need someone who is punctual, honest, and takes responsibility. You handle a fast pace well and can work efficiently under pressure, and especially handle and keep track of orders during busy periods.
- You work well with others, are helpful and flexible. You can also work independently and take initiative when necessary.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of Norwegian need to be at least A2 level.
- Able to work evening and weekend.
- You are in good physical condition to handle active work (standing for long periods, etc.).

- You will receive training in all tasks and continuous guidance.
