Work Preparation/Electrical Method Engineer

Location: Stavanger

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Work Preparation/Electrical Method Engineer to support installation activities for offshore projects. In this role, you will ensure efficient planning, high-quality work packages, and safe execution of electrical installation work. The position feels necessity for strong technical understanding, hands-on experience, and the ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams.

The role includes occasional offshore trips.

Main responsibilities

• Review and verify drawings, ensuring materials are ordered and available.
• Develop clear and efficient installation methods for offshore electrical work.
• Provide input to planning teams on installation sequences and work prioritization.
• Prepare detailed work packages for offshore installation.
• Contribute to time estimates for installation activities.
• Maintain strong focus on HSE throughout all tasks and planning.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and site teams.

Qualifications

• Certificate of apprenticeship in electrical or instrumentation (E&IT). Other relevant experience, courses, or education may compensate for formal qualifications.
• Extensive work experience from onshore/offshore installation work.
• Familiarity with platform/site work prerequisites.
• Experience with job setting/planning is an advantage.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Strong team player with good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with construction methodology is an advantage.
• Must be able to speak and write Norwegian.
• Solid computer skills.
• Valid offshore and medical certificates.
• EX basic course (6–8 hours online or 22.5 hours classroom).
• FSE high and low voltage with first aid.
