We are looking for two Workshop Technicians to join our team in Tananger, Norway.
This role is focused on the assembly, maintenance, and servicing of advanced downhole tools used in the oil & gas industry.
You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is prepared, tested, and maintained to the highest standards, supporting daily workshop operations and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a hands-on, on-site position working closely within a collaborative team environment.

Perform service, repair, and assembly of advanced downhole tools

Prepare tools for inspection, including disassembly and reassembly of equipment

Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical and electromechanical components
-
Support testing, calibration, and workshop operations
-
Read and follow technical drawings, procedures, and work instructions accurately
-
Ensure high quality, precision, and safety standards in all workshop activities
-
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the workshop
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and structured work environment
-
Collaborate closely with team members across shifts
-
Relevant technical diploma (mechanics, hydraulics, or similar)
-
Minimum 3 - 4 years of hands-on mechanical experience

Ability to independently manage full repair cycles

Good command of English, both written and spoken

Solid Excel and general computer skills

Experience with drilling equipment (downhole / offshore tools)

Vocational certificate (fagbrev), preferably Level 3

Forklift certificate (T1, T4) and overhead crane certificate (G4)

Experience working with complex mechanical systems

Norwegian language skills (written and spoken)

Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset

Structured, organized, and detail-oriented approach to work

Willingness to learn and quickly absorb new knowledge

Responsible and disciplined working style
