The Opportunity

The position of Senior Technician is within our Cardiometabolic Unit located at Kjelsås in Oslo, Norway. In this role you will provide technical support to the assigned department to ensure operations are being properly conducted in an efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible manner.

What You’ll Do:

• Contribute to develop, implement, and maintain a maintenance function that ensures the desired availability and quality for production equipment, including identification of competence needs as well as establishment of philosophy and procedures for maintenance.
• Participate as a technical manager in heavy machinery and equipment projects
• Prepare procedures and systems for maintenance of production equipment
• Define strategy and procedures for spare parts inventory
• Keep in close contact with all production departments so they can carry out their planned work
• Plan maintenance tasks in the short and long term
• Ensure that technical installations works as intended, and in accordance with good GMP standard
• Prepare production equipment procedures and systems
• Define strategy and procedures for spare parts inventory
• Participate in contingency plan for production according to current shift systems
• Assist with the installation of new production equipment
• Train production operators and maintenance technicians
• Provide assistance, manage hired technical service personnel if required
• Manage and update all technical documentation for machines and technical installations
• Stay informed to comply with applicable laws, regulations and regulations that are important to his / her area of work and responsibility
• Arrange and carry out checks / calibrations of equipment according to plan

Qualifications:

• High School diploma (eksamen artium), or vocational education (yrkesfaglig utdanning/fagbrev) as industrial mechanic or equivalent
• 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Skilled worker certificate (fagbrev) in relevant field
• Good knowledge in the subject areas

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the operation of production equipment and technical plants
• Electrical and mechanical skills
• General computer skills

Personal competencies:

• Good communication skills in writing and orally, both in Norwegian and English
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and driven personality
