Rheinmetall Nordic AS is a key provider of high-technology solutions within defence and security. Our systems and services support critical capabilities over long lifecycles, where performance, reliability and trust are essential. As part of strengthening our aftermarket business, we are now seeking aHead of Aftermarket Services to take full leadership responsibility for this important area.
This is aleadership position with significant influence on Rheinmetall Nordic’s long-term commercial performance and customer relationships. You will lead a team of highly skilled employees and be responsible for developing the Aftermarket Services department, ensuring strong execution, contract performance and continuous value creation for national and international customers.
Your roleAs Head of Aftermarket Services, you have overall responsibility for the aftermarket business, from contract execution and follow-up to continuous improvement and long-term value realization.
You lead and develop the department by setting clear directions, priorities and ways of working. With full ownership of contracts, commercial results and customer relationships, you operate at both a strategic and operational level, ensuring predictable performance while identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
The role requires close collaboration with customers and key internal stakeholders and suits a leader who is comfortable combining strategic overview with hands-on involvement in complex, long-term deliveries.
Key responsibilities-
Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team

Defining structure, priorities and processes for the Aftermarket Services department

Building a culture of accountability, quality and continuous improvement

Ensuring robust execution of aftermarket contracts, with responsibility for profitability, quality and delivery

Playing a central role in contract negotiations, tenders and commercial discussions

Acting as the primary customer interface and trusted partner

Overseeing planning and follow-up of service deliveries and spare parts sales

Managing lifecycle cost, obsolescence and last-time-buy strategies

Driving improvements that strengthen customer experience and long-term performance

Qualifications-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, business administration or a related field (relevant experience may compensate for formal education)

Experience from aftermarket operations, sales, contract management or similar roles

Proven leadership experience is required

Strong business, financial and process understanding

Experience from the Armed Forces or the defence industry is an advantage, but not a requirement

Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and spoken

A leadership role with high visibility and real influence on Rheinmetall Nordic’s aftermarket business

End-to-end responsibility for a strategically important contract and sales area

As part of this, relevant candidates will be subject to background checks, and the successful candidate must be eligible for security clearance in accordance with applicable national regulations and industry requirements.
LocationThe position is currently based in Nøtterøy, Vestfold, Norway.
In summer 2026, the office will relocate to newly renovated facilities in Skoppum, also in Vestfold, just a short walk from the new train station, set to open in August 2026.
