POSITION OVERVIEWStorfjord Hotel is seeking a passionate and service-minded Guest Relations Officer (GRO) to join our team. This is a new and exciting role at Storfjord Hotel, offering the right candidate the opportunity to shape and personalize the position in collaboration with the Front of House department and Hotel Manager. The key objective of this role is to further elevate the luxury guest experience while supporting our reception, guest relations, and reservations team in daily operations. The position is 100% permanent.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Enhance the overall guest experience by focusing on the entire guest journey.
- Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure a seamless check-in experience.
- Accompany guests to their rooms or suites, providing a warm and personalized introduction.
- VIP Management: Follow up on VIP guests and establish service routines in collaboration with the Front of House team.
- Oversee suite requests and ensure personalized preparations for guests’ stays.
- Manage early arrivals and ensure rooms are available as promptly as possible.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally.
- Support front desk operations and cover shifts as required based on seasonal and operational needs.
- Responsible of local B2B/MICE sales including driving local sales initiatives, actively sell Storfjord Hotel and build relationships
- Be a CRM super user
- Handle planning, selling, and executing meetings and conferences.
- Play a key role in managing special buyouts and large events to ensure exceptional experiences.
- Experience in luxury hospitality and working with high-end clients, preferably in an international setting.
- Background in hotel operations, such as Front Desk, Guest Relations, or Sales.
- Fluency in a Scandinavian language and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ideally, a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or hotel management
- Driver's license class B and has access to a car
