Bulk Infrastructure is looking for a Project Cost Controller to track costs, identify deviations early, and actively mitigate cost risk across large‑scale data centre construction projects.

At Bulk, our mission is to build sustainable infrastructure that supports the digital society of tomorrow. As one of the leading providers of sustainable, high-performance data center solutions in the Nordics, we design and operate infrastructure that powers the digital economy -- efficiently, securely, and with 100% renewable energy.

The Project Cost Controller sits within the PMO and reports to the VP PMO. The role operates close to the projects, acting as a hands‑on financial partner to Project Managers across large‑scale data centre construction projects. The position is responsible for close follow‑up of cost performance, early identification of deviations and financial risk, and to actively support mitigation to ensure disciplined execution, transparency, and cost control across multiple parallel, capital‑intensive projects.

What you’ll do:

As our Project Cost Controller, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Own cost control across multiple large-scale projects, including tracking, forecasting, and cash flow

  • Ensure alignment between budgets, commitments, and forecasts, with clear visibility of risks and deviations

  • Monitor contractor cost performance, including variations, claims, and invoice validation

  • Deliver timely, decision-ready cost reporting to Project Directors and PMO

  • Drive cost control standards, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration across Projects, Procurement, Contracts, and Finance

Who are you?

You are a structured and analytical cost controller with strong commercial insight, able to manage complexity across multiple projects at pace. You think critically, solve problems proactively, and adapt quickly in fast‑moving, contractor‑heavy environments. You plan and organise effectively, communicate clearly, and collaborate closely with project teams to maintain financial control without slowing execution.

What you bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field, with solid understanding of cost control in large-scale projects
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project cost control within construction, infrastructure, or similar environments
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects or programme‑level reporting
  • Experience working in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments with complex stakeholder landscapes
  • Strong analytical skills, with a structured and proactive approach to identifying and mitigating cost risks
  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • It’s an advantage if you also have
  • Experience from data centres, energy, or industrial infrastructure
  • Background from a PMO or project controls function
  • Experience with project control systems, financial tools and contract structures
  • Why join us?
  • Be part of building critical, sustainable digital infrastructure for the future
  • Work on high‑value, technically complex projects with real impact
  • Operate at the heart of a fast‑growing organisation with high execution speed
  • Influence how cost control is shaped across major programmes
  • What we offer our Bulkies:
  • A dynamic, growth-oriented workplace with a strong sustainability focus
  • Comprehensive insurance (health, travel -- business & private) and annual health check
  • Additional time off during Easter and Christmas
  • Monthly contribution to home internet costs and sustainable commuting
  • Annual wellness allowance to support an active lifestyle
  • Fully paid parental leave
  • Take the next step in your career and join us as we build the future of digital infrastructure in Norway and beyond!
