As an HR Business Partner, you will be a key member of the VARD HR team, working closely with business units to drive our organization’s transformation. In this role, you’ll empower leaders, support colleagues, and deliver initiatives that foster growth, innovation, and engagement across all levels.
At VARD, HR Business Partners are an integrated part of our HR function, directly engaged within a specific business unit. This structure ensures that you remain closely connected to both leaders and employees, while actively contributing to the wider HR community. This hands-on approach allows you to provide tailored support, reinforce our values, and help create an environment where everyone feels appreciated and inspired. In this position, you’ll also have the opportunity to specialize in a particular area of HR, providing targeted advice and expertise across the company.

So – what are your skills?
Duties and responsibilities
- Align HR strategies with business objectives, and provide proactive HR support and advice to managers and employees, both on day-to-day matters and strategic initiatives
- Coach and support managers to maximize the potential of their teams, focusing on talent development and robust performance
- Drive strategic workforce planning, talent monitoring, and career development across departments. Identify future skills and competencies needed, driving recruitment and development plans
- Monitor labor costs and HR KPIs and collaborate with managers to implement needed actions
- Foster a positive work environment by implementing routines that encourage contribution, growth, and engagement
- Build strong relationships with local unions, ensuring open communication and positive labor relations
- Specialize in key areas of HR, and lead transformation and improvement projects
Qualifications
- Higher education within Human Resource Management or similar field
- Proven experience in HR
- Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English
- Ability to work proactively and meet tight deadlines
- Experience or interest in specializing in an HR field to support the broader HR team
- Good cultural understanding and ability to facilitate teamwork

- Demonstrated commitment to acting as a role model for values, teamwork, and leadership
