Are you passionate about Arctic nature, storytelling, and meeting people from all over the world?
Destination Tromsø, part of the Norwegian Travel group, is looking for dedicated and service-minded team members for the upcoming winter season. We are hiring for three key roles: Northern Lights Guides, Whale Watching Guides, and Customer Service Staff at our sales point in the heart of Tromsø.
These positions may be combined for those seeking a more varied and flexible work experience.
As a Northern Lights or Whale Watching Guide, you will lead big groups on tours into the wild Arctic landscape – sharing knowledge, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests feel safe, inspired, and cared for.
As a Customer Service team member, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, helping them choose the right experiences, answering questions, and making sure their time in Tromsø starts off smoothly.
No two days are the same. What all roles have in common is the opportunity to deliver world-class experiences, even when the weather is unpredictable and expectations are high. If you are enthusiastic, reliable, and excited to work in a dynamic tourism environment, we’d love to hear from you.
We are looking for individuals who:- Have experience in tourism, guiding, or guest service
- Are confident communicators and love storytelling
- Are physically fit and comfortable working in Arctic conditions (down to -30°C)
- Speak fluent English — additional languages such as German, French, Spanish or Italian are a big plus
- Are flexible, organized, and a great team player
- Are curious, open-minded, and love learning from new experiences
- Hold a valid permit to live and work in Norway
- Have photography skills, especially in low-light/night settings (Optional but highly appreciated)
- Seasonal contract for the winter season (October/November - April 2026)
- Competitive salary and conditions
- Basic workwear and necessary equipment
- Training and continuous support from our experienced team
- A friendly and international work environment
- Opportunities for professional development within the Norwegian Travel group
- A chance to live and work in one of the world’s most magical winter destinations
- Social events and team gatherings to make you feel part of the family from day one
