We have developed GeoHub, NGI's state-of-the-art cloud platform. GeoHub offers a suite of digital products designed to enhance the quality, collaboration, and efficiency of geoscience workflows and data management. Work Tasks
You will enjoy a varied workday, contributing to projects and product development. You'll balance the need to meet project deadlines while laying a solid foundation for future innovation. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation, working closely with scientists and engineers to professionalize development practices and enhance programming best practices across the organization.
Competency and Experience:

Master's degree or a PhD in mathematics, natural sciences, or a related field.

Minimum of two years of experience as a developer or data scientist.
Preferred Experience:
-
Proficiency in Python or similar languages for data manipulation and analysis.

Knowledge of software engineering principles, including version control (e.g., Git), testing, data modelling, error handling, refactoring, and design patterns.

Experience with basic software architecture, including user interfaces, databases and APIs.
-
Strong background in mathematics and statistics.

Familiarity with algorithms, vectorization, computational optimization, and data visualization.

Experience with machine learning techniques.

Experience with Azure, Kubernetes and/or other cloud platforms and technologies.
