We are looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to join our HR team in Stavanger.

In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening learning, competence development and capability building across the region. Working closely with managers, subject matter experts and HR colleagues, you will identify current and future competency needs, support talent development and help ensure that our people have the skills required to succeed in a changing business environment.

You will drive and continuously improve learning and competency processes, translate business needs into development initiatives, and contribute to building a strong learning culture across the organization.

We review applications on an ongoing basis, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted during the process.

Main Activities & Responsibilities: Learning & Development
  • Advise managers and employees on learning, competency, and development opportunities

  • Identify competency and development needs and implement learning initiatives in collaboration with managers and process owners

  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and recommend improvements in collaboration with managers and process owners

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development

  • Identifyand implement improvements to learning and competency processes,systemsand tools

  • Support the adoption of digital learning solutions and share best practices across the organization

Competency Management
  • Maintain and continuously improve regional competency processes in alignment with company standards

  • Collaborate with process owners and subject matter experts to define and update competency requirements

  • Monitor competency compliance, support closure of competency gaps and maintain accurate competency records

  • Utilize learning and competency systems to analyze and report on competency levels, gaps and development needs

Training Coordination & Administration
  • Coordinate and oversee regional training activities through the Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Maintain training curricula, learning pathways and course catalogues within the LMS

  • Monitor training completion, assessments and compliance, and provide support to managers and employees on training processes and learning tools

  • Coordinate learning activities and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external training providers to ensure effective delivery of learning solutions

  • Ensure training records, certifications and learning data are maintained accurately and in accordance with company requirements

What we are looking for:
  • Relevant higher education and/or experience within Learning & Development, competency management, HR or a related field

  • Strong digital skills and experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and competency management platforms are an advantage. Familiarity with Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, Workday Learning or similar systems is beneficial.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively and manage multiple activities simultaneously

  • Structured, proactive and service-oriented approach

  • Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and verbal
