The Supply Chain department in Stavanger is an integral part of Aibel’s wider Supply Chain organization and consists of 25 dedicated procurement managers, buyers, and logistics specialists. We manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for Aibel’s projects, playing a key role in delivering value through costefficient, timely, and highquality project execution. Our work is carried out in close collaboration with business development, engineering, project management, legal, finance, and other internal disciplines, as well as with our network of prequalified, professional suppliers
About the position
We are looking for a Department Manager Project Procurement in Stavanger. This role is part of the Supply Chain Management team and reports directly to the VP Supply Chain Management.

Leading and allocating Supply Chain resources in line with Aibel’s strategic objectives, ensuring structured planning, prioritization, and efficient execution

Inspiring, guiding, and developing a high performing team while fostering a positive and engaging working environment

Driving a strong commercial mindset and contributing to improved financial results through sound commercial practices, risk mitigation, and effective change management

Ensuring that Supply Chain methods, tools, best practices, and verification activities are implemented, maintained, and continuously improved

Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and budget owners to meet functional targets and support initiatives within cost efficiency, sustainability, and training

Promoting open, fair, and confidential communication to ensure effective information flow across projects and management

Contributing actively to SCM improvement processes, sharing ideas that influence strategic direction, and maintaining up to date expertise within your discipline

Taking proactive action to secure high quality deliveries, prevent conflicts, and provide continuous feedback to both your team and the wider organization

Experience from the energy sector or EPC type businesses, with strong competence in Supply Chain Management, procurement, and resource management

Proven leadership skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships and drive team performance

High professional capability within procurement processes, including experience leading improvement or restructuring initiatives

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred; relevant experience, attitude, and commitment may compensate for formal education

Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English

Demonstrates responsibility, integrity, professionalism, and a strong ethical mindset

Flexible, open, and visionary, with the ability to handle high workloads while meeting deadlines and quality requirements

Result oriented with high commercial awareness and a drive for cost efficient solutions and continuous improvement

Strong people skills, able to motivate colleagues, build effective teams, and maintain high quality internal and external relationships
