We are seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join our team at the Morrow Cell Factory (MCF) in Arendal. This pivotal role involves ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety programs.

The HSE Engineer will perform regular safety audits, lead incident investigations, and provide HSE-related training to employees. Additionally, the role includes managing site environmental impact by monitoring waste and pollution, aiming to create a safe and sustainable work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and update health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, Safety Job Analysis, and hazard analyses.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
• Ensure compliance with Norwegian and international HSE laws and regulations.
• Engage in measurement campaigns to comply with emission permits.
• Establish internal control systems for systematic HSE activities.
• Develop the industrial safety organization and align with local emergency services.
• Administer chemical safety platforms and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Support the development and maintenance of emergency response plans.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing HSE initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Norwegian health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Experience with ISO45001 and ISO14001 Management Systems.
• Fluency in Norwegian is preferred.
