About Us:At IKM Subsea, we are at the forefront of subsea technology, developing advanced underwater systems that push the boundaries of innovation. Our Merlin ROV is a key component of our SmartROV concept, and we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic developer to join our team and help shape the future of subsea operations.
Your Role:As a Simulator Developer, you will play a crucial role in completing and enhancing the Merlin ROV simulator. This simulator is essential for training pilots and advancing autonomous ROV systems. You will collaborate with leading experts from SINTEF and contribute to groundbreaking technology development.
What You'll Work On:- Complete the Development: Focus on five specific operation scenarios for the Merlin ROV simulator (three are already under testing).
- Innovate and Develop: Further develop the SmartROV concept, including:
- Merlin ROV simulator
- Digital twin for Snorre B operations
- Semi-autonomous intervention
- SafeSub project in collaboration with NTNU, SINTEF, and Imenco. More information: https://www.sintef.no/en/projects/2023/safesub_en/

Desired Qualifications:- Education: Master’s degree in Technical Cybernetics, Robotics, Automation, or Information/Data Technology.
- Skills: Strong programming skills (C++ preferred), experience or familiarity with Unreal Engine is a plus.
- Personal Attributes: Effective, structured, systematic, solution-oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
