We are seeking an experienced, proactive and motivated Rig Accountant.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the whole accounting for one rig
• Billing clients and collecting payments according to contract, including recharges
• Intercompany transactions
• Routine accounting for rig cost centers and the rig owner companies
• Approving invoices: reviewing financial accounts and cost centers, ensuring correct VAT treatment, project numbers, expense periods, and authorization according to POA
• Monthly follow-up and accounting of stock transactions.
• Ensuring open POs, invoices, and other activities are reviewed and accrued properly
• Analyzing payroll elements against budget
• Preparing monthly reporting, and participating in monthly cost meetings
• Preparing forecasts and budgets
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in economics (or similar field)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with Norwegian GAAP
• Knowledge of IFRS and SOX is an advantage
• Experience in the drilling industry is preferred
