Kitchen manager wanted!

We are looking for a hands-on, people-oriented kitchen leader. You might currently be a Sous Chef ready to step into your first Head Chef role, or an experienced chef who wants to spend the summer in a fast-paced, social and well-supported concept.

Pappabuene is part of Akershusgruppen, a stable and growing restaurant group. Many of our leaders start their journey here – and continue into other roles within the group when the summer season ends.

You’ll be part of the management team together with our General Manager, Nora. Together, you’ll run Pappabuene throughout the summer, with a clear goal: to create a relaxed, lively meeting place where great food and refreshing drinks are served at high pace – every single day.

• Lead and develop the kitchen team, including recruitment and training

• Be responsible for daily kitchen operations

• Ensure food safety (IK-Mat), cleaning, routines and workplace safety

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations

• Maintain high quality across all services

• Handle purchasing, inventory and stock control

• Be a visible role model who motivates and supports the team

• Enjoys working with and leading people

• Has good financial and commercial understanding Is detail-oriented and happy to share knowledge

• Thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal operation

• Wants to grow as a leader within a professional restaurant group
