The Role

The successful candidate should preferably have experience within one or more of the requested technology areas and will receive training across our product portfolio including NAVCOM solutions, satellite communication solutions, based on technologies like Viasat/Inmarsat, Iridium, Starlink, OneWeb and VSAT. In addition, the candidate will be trained for installation and maintenance work for our inhouse developed Satlink HUB and Modem technologies.

You will be an integral part in supporting the product suite in line with the company's technology roadmap both for customer phasing projects, but also within the NSSLGlobal Group.

You will work with an experienced team in our office at Technopolis, Fornebu but also with an international team supporting our global organisation in country as well.

Job Responsibilities -- What will you do?

• Conduct field service, maintenance and installation work for our key customers in Norway, but also be an integral part of the NSSLGlobal service organisation providing these services globally.

• Provide 2nd level support to our global customers across the product portfolio and in close cooperation with the NSSLGlobal support organisation. This includes taking ownership of troubleshooting until resolution for problems reported by customers in a timely manner to meet or exceed customer service level agreements (SLAs).

• Inhouse Project solution building which includes rack building, integration and testing both in Norway and for Group Projects.

• Conducting hardware testing for both incoming goods and before shipping to customers.

• Prepare the documentation for installation, operation and troubleshooting, both customers facing and internally.

Who are we looking for?

• A bachelor’s degree in electronic or telecommunications, or equivalent in relevant area (newly or fresh graduates are welcome to apply).

• A strong appetite for learning quickly.

• The ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.

• Knowledge of satellite communication and/or NAVCOM solutions.

• Experience from field installations.

• Very good hands-on experience on network equipment (firewalls, routers and/or configuration work).

• Knowledge of server operating systems (Windows, Linux) would be advantageous.

• Fluency in both Norwegian and English is mandatory. Proficiency in other languages such as French or Spanish would be an advantage.
