Senior Electrical Power Engineer at OneSubsea -- Shaping the Future of Subsea Technology

We are now looking for an Senior Electrical Power Engineer to join our sites in Bergen (Sandsli) or Oslo (Lysaker) . Depending on experience and background, this role may belong to either the Motor team or the Analysis team. More details about these focus areas are provided below.

In this role, you will

• Be part of the Power System discipline, working on FEED and EPC projects for subsea production systems

• Participate throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design and detailed engineering to fabrication support, testing, offshore installation support, and commissioning

• Perform electrical system design, technical analyses, and producing high-quality documentation

• Ensure technical deliveries comply with contracts, regulations, standards, and certification requirements

• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, certifying authorities, and internal engineering, supply chain and sales teams

• Report progress and technical topics to the team lead, department manager, and project manager

• Plan and participate in component and system testing at supplier sites and at OSS Horsøy test facility (Motor team)

• Perform power system, protection, and dynamic analyses using specialized tools (Analysis team)

• Work in accordance with OneSubsea’s Health, Safety, and Environment expectations

• Preferred MSc in Electric Power Engineering or similar.

• Relevant experience may compensate for formal education where BSc in Electric Power Engineering can be accepted

• Has a solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including system design, analysis, testing, and technical documentation

• Brings 5--10 years of relevant professional experience

• Has experience with simulation and design tools such as the ANSYS suite

• Communicates confidently in English, both written and spoken

• Works well both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams, and is positive, motivated, and eager to learn and develop.

For the Analysis team, it is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in power drive system design and protection analysis

• Experience using DIgSILENT PowerFactory
