Engineering in Bergen is seeking a principal engineer to strengthen the Process department. You will play an important part in developing process designs across various projects and contribute to our exiting and growing portfolio.
About the positionIn this position, you can hold various roles within the Process discipline. Possibility for roles as discipline lead. Work closely with other disciplines to achieve the project’s goals. We're searching for you with minimum 10 years' relevant experience within Onshore/Offshore Oil & Gas or related industry. Within the dynamic energy sector, we’re embarking on numerous exciting projects. We hope that you want to contribute to our fantastic team!
Responsibilities and tasks include- Lead team
- Perform and evaluate process simulations
- Preliminary and detail process design
- Calculation and dimensioning of piping, valves and process equipment
- Prepare P&IDs, line lists and design reports
- Project work in multidiscipline teams
- Active participation in HAZOP, design reviews etc.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry or process related Engineering
- Experience with EPCIC, FEED and early study projects within the Oil&Gas industry in the NCS
- Experience with process simulation tools such as HYSYS, UNISIM and/or Flarenet
- Good knowledge of rules and regulations for process in design
- Good communication skills in English, both writing and speaking
- Be systematic and accurate
- Have high loyalty to deadlines and quality requirements
- Be proactive, seeking advice and share own experience with others
- Can work independently and lead discipline work
- Enjoy collaborating in expert groups with multidisciplinary understanding
- Value participation in creative processes
