Company Overview:

We are a growing startup looking to expand our engineering team with a senior developer. Our current team is led by a lead developer, and we seek engineers who can own their work, take initiative, and bring strong technical and communication skills to the team.

Role Overview:

We are looking for proactive, accountable developers (senior level) who can:

• Take ownership of tasks and work independently.

• Collaborate closely with the lead developer.

• Identify, create, and manage their own tasks based on product needs.

• Contribute not just code, but also ideas and structure to improve codebase and processes.

Tech Stack:

You must be confident working with most or all of the following:

• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs

• Database: PostgreSQL (Aurora Clusters on AWS), Dynamo DB

• Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.), IOT MQTT,

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of features and deliverables end-to-end.

• Propose and implement improvements to existing code and processes.

• Translate product and business requirements into technical solutions.

• Collaborate with the lead developer to plan and prioritize work.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Help build internal tooling or deployment automation where needed.

Ideal Candidate:

• 4+ years of hands-on software development experience.

• Frontend experience, bonus if with Next.js (React + SSR)

• Experience working in a team and independently.

• Strong initiative: Can define tasks, not just take tasks.

• Strong communication skills.

• Strong experience with databases and message brokers.

• Strong experience on distributed systems, financial systems, monitoring systems.

• Experience with startups or fast-paced agile teams is a plus.
