Odda Hospital is an important hospital for the Inner Hardanger region, serving a population of approximately 11,000. We provide both medical and surgical emergency services, stabilise patients with acute conditions, and ensure rapid and safe treatment prior to transfer to larger hospitals.
With us, you will work with patients across both internal medicine and surgery. We have an emergency department, operating theatres, anaesthesia services, monitoring units and inpatient wards, and we collaborate closely across disciplines. As a consultant physician, you will be a key member of an experienced and stable team with a high level of professional expertise.

Odda Hospital has well-established outpatient clinics, day treatment, day surgery, radiology and laboratory support services. We have permanently employed consultants in internal medicine, surgery and anaesthesiology, and a solid interdisciplinary professional environment.

Work description

• Ward rounds, inpatient work in the monitoring unit and wards, and on-call duties
• Clinical work at the cardiology outpatient clinic
• Contribute to internal teaching, guidance and supervision of LIS 1 doctors (interns)

Qualifications

• The applicant must have Norwegian medical council authorization as a doctor along with recognized specialization in cardiology
• The applicant must have relevant hospital work experience.
• You need to learn the Norwegian language both written and oral at a high level(B2).
