Do you want to be our next Instrument Engineer?

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for an Instrument Engineer for an exciting project at Sandsli.

This role is not rotational, but may include some international travel.

Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?

• Following up instrument procurement packages including supplier coordination and document and drawing review

• Providing engineering input to job packages, including MTOs, requisitions and installation job cards

• Performing as‑built updates of supplier drawings and offshore red‑line markups

• Supporting field instrument engineering, system engineering, automation and control, and Fire & Gas systems

• Working with layout design, cable sizing, field instrumentation, valves and technical procurement activities

• Reporting key matters to Discipline Lead and Engineering Manager

• Ensuring quality, HSSE and change management within your scope

• Coordinating and collaborating with other disciplines, suppliers and client

We think you should have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience from the oil and gas industry

• Good knowledge of EIT installations and requirements

• Experience with supplier coordination and as‑built documentation of tags and drawings

• Experience with instrument design, LCI and supplier follow‑up

• EX course or certification is an advantage

• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset

• Ability to perform estimation and planning activities

• Software skills: TIME, MIPS, STID, ProCoSys, EqHub

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
