Managing Director -- Kumera Marine AS
Location: Sandefjord or Molde

Kumera Marine is a leading Norwegian provider of marine propulsion systems and gearboxes, combining more than 150 years of engineering heritage from two strong environments in Molde (Hjelset) and Sandefjord. As part of the international Kumera Group, we deliver high quality, reliable solutions to demanding customers in the global marine industry, from advanced controllable pitch propellers to tailormade gearboxes for complex vessel applications.

On behalf of Kumera Marine, we are seeking a new Managing Director to lead Kumera Marine into its next chapter.

This is a rare opportunity to take full responsibility for a highly specialized industrial company with strong roots in the Norwegian marine cluster and a clear ambition for international growth.

Your role

As Managing Director you will have full responsibility for Kumera Marine AS and lead operations across our two sites in Molde and Sandefjord. You will report directly to the CEO of Kumera Corporation and be an integral part of the Group’s leadership team.

Your mission is to ensure continuity, build robust and scalable processes, and drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

· Defining and executing a clear growth strategy, both within the Norwegian marine cluster and in new international markets

· Driving commercial development and building strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders

· Leading operational excellence across sales, engineering, production, supply chain, quality, and finance

· Optimizing performance across two locations and ensuring efficient, scalable, and profitable operations

· Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow-up

· Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of 50+ highly skilled professionals

· Building a modern, collaborative, and accountable culture in line with Scandinavian leadership values

· Ensuring compliance with Norwegian regulations, safety standards, and corporate policies

Who are you

Kumera Marine are looking for a commercially driven and operationally strong leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, people, and industrial execution.

You likely bring:

· A master’s degree in engineering, business, economics, or a related field

· 7--10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably from marine, industrial manufacturing, or complex engineered products

· Proven ability to drive profitable growth in an SME or mid-sized industrial context

· Solid P&L responsibility and strong financial acumen

· Experience building and improving processes that enable scalability and operational excellence

· An international mindset and a clear ambition to grow beyond the Norwegian market

· Experience leading across multiple sites is a strong advantage

· Sufficient technical understanding to engage with engineers and complex products

· Fluency in Norwegian and English
