Company Description

TOMRA was founded in 1972, based on the design, manufacturing and sale of reverse vending machines (RVMs) for automated collection of used beverage containers. Today, TOMRA provides solutions that enable the circular economy with advanced collection and sorting systems, and food processing by employing sensor-based sorting and grading technology.

The TOMRA Group employs 5000 people globally and is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE: TOM). TOMRA was named Norway’s Most Innovative Business in 2026, number one on the list of the country’s top 25 companies. TOMRA Group HQ is located in Asker, Norway, with approximately 400 employees.

TOMRA Collection is a leading innovator in the circular economy and Clean Loop Recycling. Founded on the invention of the world's first reverse vending machine, we now collect over 50 billion drink containers for recycling each year through 85,000 installations across 60 markets. The 50 billion collected containers represent only 3% of global beverage packaging sold which provides a significant opportunity for TOMRA Collection to continue its growth and further contribute to a more sustainable planet.

At TOMRA, we want people to innovate, show passion in their work and be responsible. We encourage the freedom to innovate and take risks that result in breakthroughs that challenge the status quo. We value passion that focuses on and commits to meeting success. We believe in a responsible and safe mindset that takes care of our customers, products, and fellow employees.

Shape rewards that support people, performance and purpose

TOMRA Collection is looking for a skilled and motivated Total Rewards Specialist to own and deliver our total reward offering at our Asker head office. This is an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our reward programs are accurate, compliant, employee‑focused, and continuously improving---while supporting a company leading the transition to a circular economy.

You will be responsible for the operational delivery of total rewards locally, while working closely with the global Total Rewards team in TOMRA Collection. The role combines hands‑on execution with analytical work and also gives the opportunity to work smarter through digitalization and AI.

The role:

As a Total Rewards Specialist, you will ensure that TOMRA Collection’s reward programs work smoothly---every day, for every employee. You will own the operational delivery of compensation and benefits processes end‑to‑end and act as a trusted partner to P&O, managers, Finance and external providers.

Key responsibilities
  • Execute and administer total reward programs for TOMRA Collection Asker

  • Own communication, training, and support related to the annual salary review and bonus processes

  • Act as first point of contact for employee requests related to the EU Pay Transparency Directive

  • Provide guidance and training on Mercer’s career framework, grading, and benchmarking

Furthermore, you will act as a specialist adviser to managers, Finance, and People & Organisation on reward-related matters, while maintaining and continuously improving reward data in TOMRA’s HRIS and reward systems. You will provide monthly input to payroll and serve as the main point of contact with the external payroll provider, ensuring accurate and timely processing. Additionally, support governance, reporting, and compliance activities related to total rewards.

What do you bring:

You bring several years of experience with Rewards and Total Compensation and a proven track record in managing comp&ben in a global and complex organization. You also have:

  • Knowledge of labor law, tax and reward governance principles

  • Familiarity about EU Pay Transparence Act and awareness of the new requirements to adapt these regulations into the company’s practices

  • Experience working with job evaluation and benchmarking frameworks (Mercer experience is an advantage)

  • BSc or MSc within HR, Finance or similar

A core part of your role will be "working smarter" --- you will critically review existing processes to identify opportunities for automation and digitization using AI and data analytics.

What does TOMRA offer you?
  • Professional challenges within a growing, market leading global sustainability technology company

  • Good opportunities for professional development and competence building through participation in relevant training courses and seminars

  • 5 extra days holiday at Easter or Christmas time or between other public holidays in Norway

  • Excellent facilities in Asker with a gym, free parking and electric chargers and our own healthy and varied lunch restaurant

  • Hybrid working as an alternative

  • Attractive compensation package including insurances, bonus and share scheme

Ready to grow your career with purpose? Applications are continually assessed, so we encourage you to apply at your earliest convenience no later than 10.05.2026.

Please apply by sending us your CV, a few words about yourself, and why you are interested in the position and why you want to join TOMRA.
