Purpose and Scope:
  • Support acquisition projects from bidding to execution related to discipline responsibility.

  • Provide day to day vessel support for assigned vessels.

  • Follow up rollout and testing of new equipment or software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the vessel being operationally ready for the given acquisition project regards Navigation functionality and project deliverables

  • For the vessels assigned, responsible for the Streamer and UHR acquisition projects and crew having the required navigation support

  • Equipment responsible and supplier engagement for assigned hardware and software (as DGNSS HW and Orca INS)

  • In charge of inventory control and invoicing for assigned hardware and software

  • Follow up bid reviews, current analysis and infill prediction in a timely manner

  • Involvement in internal technical projects as required

Key Competencies and Skills:
  • Equivalent to Master or Bachelor engineer degree related to discipline responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years offshore experience with marine seismic acquisition navigation

  • Excellent communication skills (in English, verbal and written)

  • Manage tasks within given time frame

  • Technical skills to be able to identify problems and solves them in a timely and efficient manner, take responsibilities and ownership of tasks

  • Good knowledge to GNSS, acoustic positioning and heading sensors

  • Ability to learn new skills and adopt to new tasks

  • Good knowledge and understanding of assigned responsibility areas

  • Ability to manage high workload by staying organized and working efficiently

Key Performance Metrics:
  • Deliver on department goal for the standardization of technologies, processes, and procedures related to the responsibility area

  • Deliver on the vessel being operationally ready for the given acquisition project regards Navigation and positioning functionality and project deliverable
