You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the bank's liquidity risk, interest rate risk, currency risk, and counterparty risk, along with the valuation of financial instruments and analysis of ABS transactions.
As a Market Risk Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:- Take responsibility for interest rate risk, currency risk, and the valuation of financial instruments and valuation adjustments (XVA), as well as contribute to new projects related to this.
- Identify and measure risk using risk models such as ALM (Assets and Liabilities Management) model, FX VaR, non-maturity deposits run-off, and the valuation of derivatives, where one must consider the parameters with underlying analysis.
- Monitor and control risk by reporting to financial authorities, internally, and to the headquarters in Madrid.
- Further develop the bank's risk models in response to increasing demands from European and local financial authorities, as well as the growing complexity of the bank's own business model.
- Ensure good governance around market risk, including policies, guidelines, setting risk appetite, and risk frameworks with underlying analyses.
- Monitor financial markets (using Bloomberg) and relate it to the bank's risk exposure.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn about how the bank is financed, which financial instruments the bank uses to manage liquidity, hedge interest rate risk, and currency risk. You will participate in making larger decisions regarding capital placement, hedging instruments or risk strategies, and your analysis will be used as a basis for decision-making. You will help ensure that regulatory requirements are met and will have the opportunity to contribute to the streamlining and automation of reporting processes.
Skills & RequirementsTo thrive in the role of Market Risk analyst, we believe you should be analytical, curious, and structured. A strong problem-solving ability and a team-oriented mindset are essential.
