Your Responsibilities:
- Culinary Excellence & Production: Prepare dishes with precision and passion, ensuring consistently high quality, in accordance with established procedures, routines, and profitability goals.
- Mise en Place Expert: Execute daily mise en place for à la carte, lunch, banquet dinners or other meals ensuring seamless service and good communication with the team.
- Kitchen Leadership & Team Development: Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, food safety (IK-Mat), and managing staff. You will be a role model, handling onboarding and additional training of new and regular staff.
- Inventory & Cost Management: Assist in managing inventory and costs, including ordering supplies, maintaining optimal stock levels, and working hard to minimize food waste and wastage at all levels. You must have great respect for raw materials and margins.
- Hygiene, Health & Safety: Responsible for maintaining a good level of hygiene, health, and safety, operating in accordance with current routines and regulations.
- A Values-Driven Professional: You are energetic, have courage, and are enthusiastic.
- Experienced Leader: Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating your culinary expertise and strong leadership skills.
- Culinary Education: A chef certificate/diploma is desirable, but relevant experience and formal training can compensate.
- Communication: We prefer that you either speak Scandinavian or at least understand Norwegian.
- Flexible Team Player: Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic about food and service, with a strong team-oriented mindset, ready to stand up for your colleagues.
- Independent & Organized: Comfortable multi-tasking, making decisions independently in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining a good structure and organization of your work.
- Permanent Position: A permanent, full-time (100%) position with a start date to be agreed upon.
- Varied Shifts: The position requires working varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and Norwegian holidays.
