So – what are your skills?
Duties and responsibilities
As a Console Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of bridge consoles and operator stations for navigation and communication systems. Your tasks will include:
- Designing and developing console solutions in collaboration with project managers, electrical and automation engineers
- Creating technical documentation such console arrangement drawings, wiring diagrams, and cable lists
- Using tools like AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software
- Ensuring compliance with class, customer, and internal standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in our solutions
You will also be working closely with our SeaQ Bridge System – a state-of-the-art integrated bridge solution designed for safety, efficiency, and user experience.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A vocational certificate or higher education in electrical, automation, mechanical design, or similar fields
- Experience with technical drawing and documentation
- Familiarity with maritime systems and bridge equipment is a plus
- Strong communication skills in both English and Norwegian
- Experience working in projects and cross-functional teams

- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
- Has a strong interest in technology and design
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
