The Retail Operations team plays a central role in ensuring operational excellence across our stores, driving performance, and enabling seamless execution of strategic priorities.
In this role, you’ll act as a project manager for key initiatives while also supporting daily operations, ensuring measurable impact for both colleagues and customers by bridging long-term goals with hands-on execution.
You’ll lead improvement initiatives, manage operations within your area of responsibility, and serve as the primary point of contact for some selected suppliers supporting our store operations across the Nordics.
With a strong commercial mindset, operational focus, and people-oriented approach, you’ll help ensure profitable growth and continuous development of our retail performance.
About the job- Lead and implement strategic projects that support Elkjøp Nordic’s retail and commercial goals.
- Drive daily operations and improvements by tracking KPIs and aligning actions with strategic goals.
- Act as the main point of contact for selected suppliers, building strong partnerships that support efficient store operations across the Nordics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Commercial, HR, Finance and Operations to ensure seamless execution.
- Collaborate closely with local chain management (Norway, Sweden, Denmark & Finland) to ensure alignment on operational priorities, performance targets, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and present business cases, performance reviews, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Promote a data-driven culture by championing the use of AI tools to support strategic decision-making.
- You bring experience from a commercial, operational, or strategic role---ideally within retail or consulting.
- You have strong analytical skills and business understanding, with a motivation to deliver measurable results.
- You’ve contributed to cross-functional projects and are comfortable working in evolving environments.
- Familiarity with supplier management is a plus.
- You communicate clearly and collaborate well with stakeholders at different levels.
- You’re fluent in English and at least one Scandinavian language.
- You understand the relationships between different information and see the broader context. You utilise theories and concepts to understand practical situations and look beyond conventional approaches and established methods by proposing new ideas and solutions to problems.
- You have the ability to break down and analyse information effectively. You identify the causes of problems and propose realistic and practical solutions to address them.
- You are comfortable with influencing others through persuasive and compelling arguments or examples.
- You easily establish and develop effective and positive professional relationships with others.
- You display an enthusiastic and committed approach, sustaining a high work rate over a long period of time.
- You demonstrate a focus on achieving results and objectives and consistently strive to meet or exceed expectations.
