The Supply Chain department in Bergen is an integral part of Aibel’s wider Supply Chain organization and consists of 30+ dedicated Procurement Managers, Buyers, and Logistics teams. We manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for Aibel’s projects, playing a key role in delivering value through costefficient, timely, and highquality project execution. Our work is carried out in close collaboration with business development, engineering, project management, legal, finance, and other internal disciplines, as well as with our network of prequalified, professional suppliers.
About the position
As Department Manager SCM, you will lead and allocate Supply Chain resources in line with strategic objectives, ensuring structured planning, prioritization, and efficient execution. You will be responsible for inspiring, guiding, and developing a high‑performing team while fostering a positive and engaging work environment. A key focus will be strengthening commercial mindset and practices to improve financial outcomes through sound decision‑making, risk mitigation, and effective change management. You will ensure that Supply Chain methods and tools are applied consistently and continuously improved. You will also collaborate closely with stakeholders and budget owners to meet functional targets and drive initiatives in cost efficiency, sustainability, and competence development. The role also involves promoting open and confidential communication, contributing to improvement processes, and taking proactive steps to secure high‑quality deliveries, prevent conflicts, and provide constructive feedback across the organization.

Experience from the energy sector or EPC‑type businesses, with strong competence in Supply Chain Management, procurement, and resource management

Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to build strong relationships and drive team performance

High professional capability within procurement processes, including experience leading improvement or restructuring initiatives

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred; relevant experience, motivation, and commitment may compensate for formal education

Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English
