About the role

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Commissioning Engineer – Instrumentation and Automation to join a project team in Haugesund. This is a hands-on, technical role with responsibility for leading commissioning activities and ensuring smooth handover to operations. You will work closely with both the project and client teams, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead preparation and execution of commissioning activities within instrumentation and automation disciplines.
• Follow up mechanical completion (MC) verification and manage take-over scope to commissioning.
• Conduct formal handover from commissioning to operations.
• Provide support and guidance to project team members and management on commissioning topics.
• Ensure close collaboration with both internal project teams and client representatives.
• Promote and act as a role model for HSE best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or technical college education in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in commissioning, ideally within instrumentation and automation.
• Experience in a similar role on industrial or energy projects.
• Experience using electronic tools and systems for commissioning and documentation.
• Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.

Certifications

• Basic EX safety course (online or classroom).
• FSE High and Low Voltage with First Aid.
• AT/SJA certification.
