About the position:

Do you want to help produce high-quality seafood?

Hitramat As seeks production employees who are strong, structured and positive, for seasonal work from June to November 2025.

We can give you a golden opportunity to work at Europe's largest crab factory and experience Norwegian coastal culture at its best!

From mid-June to the end of November, Hitramat will receive up to 4.500 tons of brown crab of the highest quality, and we need more skilled people!

The tasks consist of receiving, slaughtering, processing, and packing fresh crab to be sold to a quality-conscious international market.

Skills & Requirements Desired Competence and Personal Characteristics:

• Good physical shape, stand-on-will and good mood

• Ability to work systematically even in stressful situations

• Communicate well in writing and orally in English

• Quality understanding

• Team player but also with the ability to work independently

• Positive representative of the company

Understanding that the that weather and wind control our working day, and that we must therefore be flexible in working hours to preserve the highest quality of the raw material.

More Information:

The company can assist with renting rooms. The rent is 3,500 NOK per. pers pr. month.

It is a great advantage if you have a driver's license and your own car.

Hitramat has its own canteen. It is mandatory for all employees. For only 50 NOK per. today you get a full breakfast and hot lunch, as well as dinner if needed during evening work.

As an employee, you also have access to a free swimming pool and fitness center at Hitra.

We follow the tariff wage for the fishing industry which is currently 216,15 NOK per hour.

Overtime after 40 hours week or 9 hour work a day is payd with 302,61 NOK

A normal working day varies from kl. 06:00 / 07:00 to 16:00 / 17:00. During the high season (mid-July - mid-October) there are 6 working days a week. At the beginning and end of the season (June and November) there will be 3-4 working days a week.

The crab fishing can be unpredictable, so the working hours change according to how much crab the factory receives in one day. This amount varies from day to day. ****
