Fleet Manager -- Join Our International Team in Norway
We are seeking a committed and proactive Fleet Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and can balance operational oversight, team coordination, and a customer-first mindset. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, solution-focused, and eager to play an important role in the continued growth of our company within the travel and outdoor industry.
About the Role Fleet Manager -- Operational Oversight, Maintenance Coordination & Team SupportAs our Fleet Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and professional operation of our vehicle fleet. You'll be responsible for overseeing and maintaining a fleet of around 200 camper vans, motorhomes, and cars---making sure every vehicle is roadworthy, fully functional, and ready to deliver the best possible experience to our customers.
This role combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on, practical work. You will manage service schedules, damage follow-ups, repairs, vehicle documentation, and coordinate with external workshops and suppliers. You'll also handle the ordering of vehicle parts, track deliveries, and maintain an overview of parts usage and stock levels, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for efficient repair and maintenance operations.
You will work closely with the rental team, providing technical guidance and operational support---especially during high season and vehicle handovers. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
Additionally, once a year, you will participate in our internal camper van conversion project, working side-by-side with the conversion team to prepare new vehicles for the rental season. This gives you the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of our fleet from the ground up.
We are looking for someone with experience in logistics, fleet operations, or a similar role---ready to take ownership, improve systems, and help ensure our fleet runs reliably and efficiently in a fast-paced rental environment.
Key Responsibilities -- Fleet Manager
Your main tasks will include:
-
Oversee the day-to-day condition, availability, and functionality of the vehicle fleet to ensure operational readiness
-
Coordinate and manage service appointments, damage repairs, and technical inspections
-
Order spare parts, track deliveries, and maintain an accurate overview of part usage and stock levels
-
Manage vehicle-related documentation including service records and damage logs
-
Collaborate with external suppliers, workshops, and service partners to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance
-
Maintain and update fleet records and planning tools, including Excel spreadsheets and internal systems
-
Provide operational support to the rental team, particularly during high season and handover periods
-
Participate annually in the internal camper van conversion process, assisting the conversion team in preparing new vehicles
-
Oversee and take part in practical repairs of vehicle components and camper van systems as needed
-
Support process improvements related to fleet operations, logistics, and maintenance workflows
Who We Are Looking For -- Fleet Manager
-
Proven experience in fleet management, vehicle coordination, logistics, or a related operational role
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Norwegian is not required but would be a plus
-
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing service schedules, part inventories, and fleet data
-
Confident using Excel for planning, tracking, and reporting purposes; basic understanding of cost control and maintenance budgeting
-
A hands-on problem-solver with a practical mindset and technical interest in vehicles and camper systems
-
Proactive, reliable, and capable of taking ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision
-
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a small, fast-paced team
-
Willing to collaborate closely with international colleagues, external workshops, and internal departments
-
A valid driver's license (B-class) is required; experience driving larger vehicles is a plus
