Are you passionate about exploring stunning landscapes, discovering unique cultures, and sharing unforgettable experiences with guests? Join our team as a Tour Guide and lead groups through the majestic fjords and mountains of Norway, including the breathtaking Geiranger and Nordfjord areas and the charming port city of Ålesund.

Our Tour Guides are responsible for guiding groups in multiple languages. They share fascinating insights about the regions visited and create memorable experiences for guests that highlight the beauty and culture of Norway.

Skills Required

  • Flexibility and strong motivation.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Language requirements:

    • Guides who speak German and English, preferably also one of the following: Italian, Spanish, or French.
    • Or guides who speak English plus two (or preferably three) of the following languages: Italian, Spanish, and/or French.

    • Knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage. Norwegian is not required.

  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with groups in a clear and confident manner.

  • Ability to work well in a team.

  • Good knowledge of the points of interest in the guiding areas (training provided by the company).

Working Conditions

  • Working hours: Full-time position for guides fluent in two or more languages.

  • Place of work: Primarily in the counties of Møre og Romsdal and Vestland, mainly the ports of Geiranger, Olden, Hellesylt, Nordfjordeid, and Ålesund. Assignments in other ports may occur.

  • Season duration: From early May to late September.

Salary Details

  • During the high season (June, July, and August), the company guarantees a minimum salary of 40,000 NOK gross per month for full-time guides.

  • With additional assignments, earnings can increase beyond the guaranteed minimum.

  • Compensation depends on the guide's language skills, expertise, and the types of tours sold to customers.

  • Guides are paid per assignment, with rates based on the assignment duration and the number of languages required. Guides fluent in multiple languages typically earn higher salaries.

Accommodation Assistance

The company will assist employees in finding accommodation. This support is available only to full-time employees working the entire season.
