About the positionAs a Jr. Product Developer you will be given the responsibility to assure that Norrøna delivers the world’s best outdoor products on the market, with the highest quality and at the correct cost. At the end of in-house prototyping, the Product Developer (PD) ensures that our partner manufacturers replicate the approved Norrøna sample, exceeding our quality and construction standards, following our specifications, and meeting our margin targets and deadlines.
The PD team is a part of the Manufacturing department. You will be reporting directly to the Manufacturing Director.
You will have responsibility for a selection of the styles developed by Norrøna. You will be the main point of contact towards the manufacturers for your defined styles, in close cooperation with the relevant Senior product developer, for all topics related to product quality, specification, and costing.
Qualifications- Minimum 3 years experience working with production of textile/apparel is required
- Textile degree from university level is prioritized, or equal proven knowledge level
- Experience with price negotiation and international trade
- Methodical, structured and analytical in your approach, combined with a flexible and commercial mindset
- Fluency in English is a requirement
- Good understanding and experience in the use of PLM systems
