Finance Manager for International Software Company based in Oslo

We are seeking a Finance Manager in Oslo, where you will be responsible for the daily financial management of Maze Feedback AS, and its daughter company in the UK. You will have broad contact and close dialogues with the management teams, accounting, and finance teams across the group's other companies in Scandinavia.

Maze Feedback A/S is a successful software company located in Oslo. We serve customers in the retail sectors in 17 countries in Europe and the US through our SaaS solution, The Maze Premium App. This App gives store teams unique insights and recommendations for each individual store, which enables them to increase basket sizes and conversion rates, improve staff retention and create repeat customers.

Main responsibilities of the Finance Manager

Financial controlling: Be hands-on with daily accounting and controlling activities to ensure high accuracy in financial figures from both technical and operational financial perspectives. Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, including cost center accounting, intercompany balances, prepayments, accruals, and bank reconciliations.

Business support: Lead quarterly forecast processes with high precision. Contribute to strategic initiatives related to growth, pricing, and customer economics. Translate data and key figures into insights and actions that support business momentum.

Reporting: Internal and external reporting, including monthly and quarterly reports, adhering to deadlines associated with being part of a publicly listed group. Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flows, KPIs, and variance analyses. Participate in internal and external audits and finalize annual reports. Experience with IFRS is a plus but not essential.

The ideal candidate will check as many of the above boxes as possible but will also be trained and coached by the finance team across the Group on any remaining skills.

Your profile

You may have a background in accounting, finance, or auditing. You work independently, can take ownership, be hands-on, and drive projects forward. The ideal candidate can balance daily operations and dive into details within financial reporting. You deliver high-quality work and can handle expected and unforeseen challenges without compromising quality or deadlines. You are positive, highly driven, and possess good collaboration skills.

You have a higher or secondary education in accounting, finance, or similar. Good accounting understanding and strong system skills are preferred.

Your direct supervisor will be the CEO of Maze Feedback AS, Frode Berg, but you will collaborate closely with finance teams across the other companies in the owners Group, who will also facilitate onboarding and ongoing development activities.

You must be fluent in a Scandinavian language and English.
