Essential requirements:
  • Bachelors'/Masters' university degree or equivalent in Educational Leadership or relevant area
  • Experience teaching within the PYP or MYP
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Norwegian labour laws and regulations
  • Personal attributes as indicated by the IB learner profile.
    • Preferred candidates will also have:
  • Experience in school administration
  • Interest and motivation to work in a high-performing, internationally minded organization.

    JOB PURPOSE: To help facilitate the smooth daily running of the campus by providing support to the principal; to deputise in the event of the principal's absence and lead identified specific areas of school administration. The position will be a combined 50% administration and 50% PYP/MYP teaching role, subject to the candidates' qualifications.

    General Responsibilities

    The appointee is a member of Skagerak International School's administration team and works closely with the senior leadership team This position assumes 50% Admin responsibilities and presence time.

    1. Support the Principal as required.

    2. Deputise for the Principal in the event of the principal's absence.

    3. Take a leadership role in managing student behaviour and learning support issues.

    4. Administer daily systems to ensure the smooth running of the site.

    5. Complete and supervise specific tasks within the leadership team.
