QHSE Manager -- Electronics Manufacturing

We are a fast-growing Norwegian technology company developing and manufacturing advanced electronic products.

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on QHSE Manager to lead our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental efforts across the organization.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and scale the QHSE function in a company where quality, safety, and continuous improvement are critical to success. You will work closely with leadership, engineering, operations, and production teams to ensure that our systems, processes, and culture support sustainable growth.

The Role
As QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our Quality Management System and HSE framework. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, supporting operational excellence, and building a culture where quality and safety are embedded in everything we do.

This role combines strategic responsibility with operational involvement and requires a leader who is comfortable both in management discussions and on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS)

• Lead internal and external audits

• Drive corrective and preventive action processes (CAPA)

• Manage non-conformities, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Define and monitor quality KPIs and reporting

• Support customer quality requirements and supplier quality management

• Maintain and further develop ISO-based management systems

• Health, Safety & Environment

• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE legislation and regulations

• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and follow-up actions

• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization

• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs

• Monitor HSE performance and drive improvements

• Act as a trusted advisor to management on all QHSE matters

• Support scaling of manufacturing operations and organizational growth

• Build systems and processes that support future expansion

• Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in QHSE, Quality Management, Manufacturing Excellence, or a similar role

• Experience from electronics manufacturing, high-tech industries, industrial production, medical devices, aerospace, defense, or related sectors

• Strong understanding of quality management systems and ISO standards

• Experience conducting audits and leading improvement initiatives

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Professional proficiency in English is required.

• Norwegian language skills are considered an advantage.

Nice to have

• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Environmental Science, or a related field

• Experience in a startup or scale-up environment

• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and supplier quality management

• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
