As Commercial Project Manager in the Site Development & Expansion team at Recharge, you will play a key role in growing our network of ultra-fast EV charging stations in Norway. You’ll manage the full project lifecycle, from business case development to construction and commissioning of charging stations, ensuring efficient, high-quality rollouts that align with our financial goals and environmental ambitions.
This is a high-impact role at the forefront of the energy transition. Your work will directly shape the infrastructure that enables more people to choose electric mobility, helping to accelerate Norway’s journey toward a zero-emission future.
You’ll lead a dynamic portfolio of projects, often running in parallel, requiring strong prioritization, coordination, and execution skills. The role blends commercial evaluation, hands-on delivery, and cross-functional collaboration to bring high-performing charging sites online.
You’ll work closely with internal and external partners to deliver well-positioned, high-performing sites. Externally, you’ll engage with DSOs, site owners, technical consultants, contractors, authorities, and preferred installation vendors. Internally, you’ll collaborate with experts in commercial, engineering, supply chain, and finance.
Key responsibilities- Manage a high volume of parallel projects at varying stages of development, maintaining oversight of timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder coordination across the portfolio.
- Collaborate with the commercial team on early-stage lead qualification.
- Evaluate site opportunities and prepare capex investment cases using standard financial metrics (ROI, NPV, IRR, Payback Period).
- Manage and align internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clarity around roles, expectations, and deliverables.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication across all project phases, including regular status updates, risk reporting, and escalation of critical issues.
- Lead project execution from site development to planning to commissioning, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality standards.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Standards and Compliance, Supply Chain, Finance and other Nordic teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee external partners including site owners, consultants, DSO, installation vendors to secure efficient delivery and adherence to contract terms.
- Ensure documentation, reporting, and handover processes are completed in a structured and professional manner.
- Proactively manage risks, troubleshoot issues, adapt to changing conditions and/or priorities and escalate issues with commercially viable solutions.
You are an experienced and structured project manager who thrives in a fast-paced, occasionally chaotic environment. You are confident in financial discussions, organized in execution, and proactive in overcoming obstacles. Naturally collaborative, you’re also confident leading independently, keeping projects on track and stakeholders aligned. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, maintaining focus and momentum in a rapidly evolving industry. Above all, you take pride in contributing to a strong team culture while taking ownership of your projects, delivering meaningful results and advancing the green shift together.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, economics, project management or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in project management, ideally within energy infrastructure, construction, or e-mobility.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present capital investment business cases using standard financial metrics.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects from planning to execution, ensuring alignment, delivery, and performance tracking.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and confidently with internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong track record of managing external vendors, contractors and subcontractors.
- Committed to continuous improvement, with a mindset for optimizing processes, sharing learnings, and enhancing project outcomes.
- Fluent in English and Norwegian, written and spoken.
