As Director Finance for KA’s Business Area Drive Control Systems, you will help turn complexity into clarity. Through strong analytical skills and drive, you bring transparency to the numbers and support better, fact based decisions across the organization.
You join KA at an exciting time in the global vehicle industry, marked by rapid technology shifts, new performance demands, and opportunity for forward-leaning companies like KA. Working closely with the EVP of DCS and the Business Area leadership team, you act as a trusted financial partner to the business.
The role is based at Kongsberg Automotive’s global headquarters in Kongsberg, Norway. You will lead a global Finance & Controlling organization across four continents and play a key role in strengthening profitability, cash flow, and long term value creation.

Act as the financial sparring partner and trusted advisor to the Executive Vice President DCS and the Business Area Leadership Team, promoting accountability, ownership, and fact based decision making.

Develop, execute, and continuously refine the DCS financial strategy, strategic targets, annual budgets, and long range plans in support of sustainable value creation and profit potential.

Proactively drive business performance by providing financial insights, analysis, and clear actions to improve results across products, regions, and functions.

Provide transparent, timely, and accurate financial information to enable effective leadership decisions and strong governance.

Lead forecasting, monthly variance analysis, performance reporting, and consolidation of DCS financial results with a strong results oriented mindset.

Manage CAPEX planning, prioritization, and approval processes to ensure optimal capital allocation aligned with strategic priorities.

Manage and optimize Net Working Capital position and net cash flow from the DCS operations

Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and corporate requirements.

Ensure robust documentation and governance of critical accounting topics, in close cooperation with other group finance functions in Kongsberg

Partner closely with operational and commercial leaders within DCS to drive internal cost efficiency, operational excellence, and sustainable profitability.

Strengthen cost accounting, plant controlling, and end to end financial processes to improve transparency, scalability, and efficiency.

Support strategic initiatives related to footprint optimization, make or buy decisions, sourcing strategies, and continuous improvement programs.

Translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights, dashboards, and decision support for market driven, data based management.

Work in close cooperation with the other group finance functions in Kongsberg

Lead, inspire, and develop a high performing global Finance & Controlling organization within DCS.

Build a culture of collaboration, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Recruit, coach, and mentor finance professionals, ensuring strong capabilities, talent development, and long term succession planning.

Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration

Solid experience in finance leadership roles within global, complex organizations, preferably in automotive or industrial manufacturing environments.

Strong background in financial management, including cost accounting, plant operations, financial planning, and performance management.

Solid expertise in IFRS reporting, financial modeling, budgeting, and long range business planning.

Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies that improve profitability, cost efficiency, and overall performance.

Strong analytical, fact based, and entrepreneurial mindset with excellent problem solving skills.

Demonstrated leadership capability with experience building and leading high performing international teams.

Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills

A key leadership position with strong influence, working closely with top management and helping shape the direction of the Drive Control Systems business area
