As a Lead Design Engineer at NOV, you will play a pivotal role in the development of subsea structural and mechanical products. You’ll lead design initiatives, create production documentation, and contribute directly to innovation in offshore energy systems. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of subsea structural/mechanical systems

• Produce detailed production and fabrication drawings in compliance with standards

• Drive technical documentation using CAD and PDM tools

• Guide junior engineers and contribute to multidisciplinary design efforts

• Ensure design solutions comply with NS-ISO 8015 and other relevant specifications

• Participate in concept development and fabrication follow-up

• Support offshore project execution and cross-functional coordination

• Innovate within product development frameworks for subsea technologies

Qualifications & Skills Essential Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Technology
• 5--10 years of experience in subsea design and analysis

• Strong skills in creating production and fabrication drawings

• Fluent in English

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in product development and technical leadership

• Background in offshore project execution and fabrication follow-up

• Proficiency in CAD (e.g., Autodesk Inventor) and PDM (e.g., Vault) tools

• Familiarity with ISO design standards

• Proficiency in Norwegian is an advantage

Soft Skills

• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to lead by example
