Job Description Production Workers -- Crab Factory (Seasonal Job)

Hitramat AS is looking for production workers for seasonal work at Europe's largest crab factory, located on the Norwegian coast.

The work season is from June to November 2026.

About the job

You will work in production, mainly on the processing line .
Tasks include:

• Receiving and handling crab

• Processing and packing crab products

• General factory work

This is physical work, and you will be standing for most of the day.

Who can apply

• No experience required -- training is provided

• No Norwegian language required

• Basic English is an advantage, but not required

• You must be in good physical condition

• Able to work in a team and follow instructions

• Flexible with working hours (work depends on crab deliveries and weather)

• Positive attitude and willingness to work

  Skills & Requirements

  Working hours

  • Normal working hours: 06:00 / 07:00 -16:00 / 17:00

  • High season (mid-July to mid-October): 6 working days per week

  • June and November: 4-5 working days per week

  • Working hours can change from day to day depending on how much crab the factory receives

  Salary

  • Hourly wage: 225.96 NOK

  • Overtime (after 9 hours per day or 40 hours per week): 316.34 NOK

  Meals

  • Company canteen (mandatory)

  • Employees receive 1--4 meals per day, depending on working hours

  • Breaks are taken every 2.5-3 hours

  • Food is provided at every break

  • Price: 60 NOK per day

    • Breakfast and hot lunch

    • Dinner included when working evenings

  Accommodation

  • We can help with accommodation

  • Rent:

    • Double room: 3,700 NOK per person / month

    • Single room: 4,700 NOK per person / month

  Documents and permits

  • The company assists with:

    • Work permits for EU and EEA citizens

    • D-number

    • Tax card

  • Help is provided for employees working in Norway for the first time

  Forklift license

  • Applicants with a valid forklift license may be offered work in logistics

  • Please upload photos of your forklift license when applying

  Other experience

  • Experience in kitchen work or industrial cleaning can be an advantage

  • In some periods, workers may be needed in canteen or cleaning teams

  • Placement depends on company needs and cannot be guaranteed

  Transport

  • Own car is required in most cases

  • For group applications, it is sufficient if at least one person in the group has a car

  • Only a limited number of positions are available for applicants without a car
