Company Description
Public spaces are the foundations of urban life, shaping how we live together. When designed with care and creativity, they foster connection, enhance wellbeing, and bring us closer to nature. As cities grow denser and society becomes more polarized, the need for inclusive and welcoming spaces has never been greater.
Since 1947, Vestre has transformed urban environments into vibrant social meeting places. Rooted in Scandinavian heritage, we believe great design should be accessible to everyone. Our approach combines playful engineering with design integrity and industrialised sustainability -- creating products that are beautiful, functional, and built to last. Each piece is crafted with passion from sustainable sourced materials using processes that minimize environmental impact while maximizing durability.
Partnering with experts in urban development worldwide, we add The Human Layer to cities, parks, streets, and schools -- creating places that invite openness, spark dialogue, and give people and communities a true sense of Public Belonging.
Vestre will report a turnover of approx. NOK 440 million in 2025 and has 130 employees. Headquarters are in Oslo, sales offices in Stockholm, Berlin, London, Boston, Austin, and Los Angeles, and manufacturing in Sweden and Norway.
The Opportunity
We are now seeking an ambitious Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team and play a central role in Vestre’s continued international growth. The CFO will have full responsibility for financial decision support to the Board and Executive Management, as well as financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the Vestre group, including its subsidiaries.
As CFO, you will lead and further develop the finance function and work closely with local finance managers across the group. Your key responsibilities include financial planning through budgets, forecasts, and performance monitoring; risk and liquidity management; investment analysis and decision-making processes; identifying opportunities for operational efficiency; financial reporting and consolidation; and ensuring compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Vestre has ambitious growth targets, building on a strong international presence and advanced production and logistics operations. As a company deeply rooted in sustainability, design, and quality, we need a CFO who not only delivers financial excellence, but who also has a genuine and practical understanding of the entire value chain --- from production processes and operational flow to how decisions impact efficiency, quality, and long‑term value creation in a manufacturing environment. This is a unique opportunity to take on a focused and influential leadership role in one of Norway’s most high-profile and internationally recognised companies.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a commercially minded finance leader who thrives on responsibility and combines strategic perspective with hands-on execution. Ideally, you have experience in international business operations and manufacturing environments, where margin and working capital optimization are essential.
You bring a proven track record of introducing technology and systems that improve financial processes and support data-driven decision-making -- including the use of automation and artificial intelligence. You are operationally strong in finance and skilled at stakeholder management, building trust and credibility with the Board, executive management, banks, auditors, and other key partners.
As a leader, you inspire through action, collaboration, and clarity. You identify with Vestre’s values and culture. The role reports to the CEO and is part of the company’s leadership team.
Practical Information
The position is based at our headquarters in central Oslo. The role involves close collaboration with production teams in Norway and Sweden, as well as the international sales offices and subsidiaries. Some travel should be expected.
If you have specific questions about the position or the company, please contact our advisor at BackerSkeie, Alexander Huun, at +47 478 98 809.
The application deadline is 7 April 2026.
