As our Financial Controller, you will be part of a Financial Control team led by VP, Financial Control & Treasury, and partner closely with the FP&A, Strategic Finance, and other teams. You’ll coordinate the financial reporting and controls of our Norwegian subsidiaries while partnering closely with senior stakeholders, external accountants, and auditors. You’ll be the bridge between day-to-day finance operations and group-level reporting - making sure our numbers are accurate, compliant, and useful for decision-making. In this role, you will:

Own and coordinate month-end and year-end close across multiple entities, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery with the support of outsourced accountants.

Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Oversee and take care of invoicing and revenue recognition to keep things clean and efficient.

Coordinate accounts payable and payments in line with controls and approvals.

Maintain General Ledger accuracy, including accruals and correct income/expense recognition.

Support in accounts receivable and cash management, helping reduce DSO.

Handle commission calculations and accruals and ensure timely payouts.

Support in audits, financial governance tasks, and risk reviews.

Drive continuous improvement, including automation of finance processes and harmonization of accounting practices and processes across the entities.

Work in close co-operation with other Financial Control team members in Finland and Business Controlling team members in Norway

We are looking for a Financial Controller who wants to play a key role in strengthening Finago’s financial foundation and supporting continued growth. This is a hands-on role for an experienced finance and accounting professional who enjoys being close to the numbers and taking full ownership of financial delivery.

You thrive in complex, multi entity environments and take pride in accuracy, structure, and accountability. You work in a disciplined and methodical way, communicate clearly, and remain proactive, adaptable, and resilient during high pressure periods without compromising quality or attention to detail. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial controlling, accounting, or audit, preferably in complex or multi entity environments

Strong technical accounting expertise with a solid understanding of financial governance and internal controls

Solid local GAAP knowledge and strong system and ERP competence

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with 247/Finago Office ERP or similar financial systems is an advantage

A genuine interest in driving improvements in processes, controls, and financial tools

An independent, structured, and proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership

Interest in or experience with automation and AI tools in finance

Clear and professional communication skills in English (Norwegian is seen as an advantage)

A bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
