Sub-Contract Manager

Location: Haugesund (preferred), Asker, Stavanger, or Bergen

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Report to the Business Manager in the project and the VP of Operations and Project Management in the Offshore Wind Team.
• Effectively manage relationships with international sub-contractors, ensuring alignment with project standards and fostering clear communication and collaboration.
• Identify and address potential risks associated with sub-contractors, implementing proactive measures to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth project execution.
• Establish and maintain processes to ensure predictability of sub-contractor deliveries, closely monitoring progress and addressing deviations from the project plan.
• Ensure sub-contractors adhere to contractual obligations, quality standards, and regulatory standards, conduct audits and reviews to maintain high performance levels.
• Continuously track and report on sub-contractor performance, providing insights and updates to project stakeholders for transparency and informed decision-making.
• Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and administration of subcontract amendments and variations (VO/VOR).
• Conduct subcontract awareness sessions and training for project teams.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or an equivalent legal education.
• Minimum 10 years of sub-contract management experience for international projects.
• Offshore or construction project experience is a plus.
• Experience with FIDIC contracts, English common law, or civil law jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and technical skills.
• Ability to lead people through change and ensure sub-contract ownership among stakeholders.
• Experience in translating international sub-contract types to multiple stakeholders with clear and measurable outcomes.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Norwegian.
