Airthings is a Norwegian technology company headquartered in Oslo, serving customers worldwide with industry leading air quality and radon monitoring solutions. As of 12th of February, Airthings has been delisted from Oslo Børs, a strategic shift that enables a new phase marked by sharper strategic focus and operational discipline.
This creates a unique opportunity for a highly skilled Head of Group Accounting to join at an exciting moment of transformation and impact.
As the Head of Group Accounting, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the company's financial foundation and supporting its international growth journey. You will work closely with the CFO and leadership team, acting as a key partner in ensuring robust financial governance, insight-driven decision-making, and high quality reporting.
Airthings collaborates with an external accounting agency for operational accounting delivery. Internally, you will lead and develop a team of two Financial Controllers, ensuring strong processes, alignment, and consistency across the group.
This is a broad, high impact role with substantial visibility and influence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation and ensure high quality group financial reporting
- prepare and present consolidated P&L, financial insights, and management reporting
- oversee the Annual Report and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
- manage tax reporting and transfer pricing
- maintain and develop financial models and forecasts together with the CFO
- support strategic decision-making through ad hoc financial analyses
- ensure alignment and consistency across local finance teams
- drive improvements in reporting, processes, and systems
- manage collaboration with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders
- master's degree in auditing, economics, finance, or a related field (MRR is an advantage)
- minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing-ideally in an international setting
- strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and tax
- proven experience with consolidation and reporting systems
- strong ERP and Excel skills
- fluency in a Scandinavian language and English
- structured, efficient, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities
- strong communicator with excellent relationship building skills
