Umbilical Lead/Subsea Technology

Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation according to the relevant project phase within the Subsea Umbilical and Cable scope, ensuring compliance with applicable rules, standards, and regulations.
• Scope and follow up on studies related to Subsea Umbilical and Cable, and mature the design and deliveries as required per project phase.
• Participate in concept workgroups and document recommendations and decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement, secure safety in design, focus on design-to-cost, and ensure constructability.
• Perform or contribute to concept evaluations and provide input for updates to the Design Basis.
• Provide evaluations, reports, and presentations for key project milestones and decision gates.

Required expertise

• BSc or MSc in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or equivalent).
• Extensive (10+ years) professional technical experience with umbilical system engineering, design, and fabrication within oil and gas projects.
• Strong competence with umbilical technical requirements and standards (e.g., DNV, API, ISO), including dynamic analysis.
• Good understanding of project execution, including marine operations and umbilical installation.

Language: English and Norwegian

Location: Oslo, Stavanger, with sporadic offshore work required
