Role purpose

The Head of Delivery Management & Enablement is a senior leadership role focused on ensuring the delivery of our most complex cross-functional initiatives are set up for fast flow and business success. This role leads Delivery Management and sets the bar on what great Delivery Management looks like.
The role serves as a key strategic partner to the VP Product Operations & Enablement in designing and continuously improving our overall Product Operating Model -- which includes the habits we foster across our 70+ product teams (e.g. continuous discovery), the principles we subscribe to and how we promote them in team’s day-to-day (e.g. data-driven decision making), processes and governance models we follow, topology we use, etc.
The perfect candidate is a systems-thinker and First-Principles thinker, loves change management and transformation, is deeply aware of how successful tech companies work (both software and hardware), has relevant experience in working with and leading cross functional product teams, and knows the ins and outs of modern Delivery Management -- with proven practice in different contexts.

Core accountabilities

Delivery Management leadership

• Lead and coach our Delivery Managers

• Lead the holistic overview of the delivery of our most complex initiatives

• Define and continuously develop what great delivery management looks like for Laerdal Medical

• Ensure complex, multi-team initiatives are set up for fast flow, with strong dependency and risk management -and effective cross-functional coordination

• Ensure teams in complex initiatives and Delivery Managers are equipped with the right environment (e.g. processes, systems, tooling, skills) to thrive

• Identify and monitor systemic execution bottlenecks and help shape improvements for a more efficient and sustainable flow

Operating Model Design & Continuous Improvement

• Act as a key strategic and execution partner to the VP Product Ops & Enablement in continuously evolving our operating model across all our teams globally -- and operationalizing it

• Supports the VP Product Ops & Enablement and Product Ops Managers in various Enablement initiatives across the company aimed to improve Laerdal’s capabilities, such as upskilling initiatives, finding and implementing different tooling, etc.

Profile we are looking for

• Strong systems and first‑principles thinker, with a passion for change, transformation, and continuous improvement

• Deeply aware of how successful tech companies work (both software and hardware development). Bonus:

• Strong understanding of what great hardware development at scale looks like and able to create new, highly contextualized, models to set teams up for success (e.g. hardware product development processes, delivery practices, governance models, etc)

• Experience working in very complex technology environments with multi-team dependencies

• Proven leadership skills, with strong execution and problem-solving mindset

• Highly curious and on top of latest and greatest trends on delivery management in successful tech companies

• Trusted communicator at executive level, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
